TRIM PROFILES

Here at LEGACY METALWORKS we manufacture all of our standard sized trim, and flashing.

Can't find what you are looking for here? No worries, just design your own custom trim and bring it to us to manufacture. Whether it is an oversized ridge cap or a custom window trim, our 21' brake can handle it.

Our stock trim is 10'3", our custom trim is available up to 21' long.

RIDGE

After securing panels to the roof, apply closure 4” below ridge on both sides of roof. Center ridge cap, lap away from the wind, and secure to each rib with screws.

GABLE

Apply gable trim to both ends of roof. Screw gable trim to panel at 24” intervals. If the rib of the last panel does not match up with roof end, trim panel ¾” past roof end and turn up using crimping tool. Fasten as before.

SMALL GABLE

This gable is identical to ll at the base of your wall and fasten at 24″ intervals in the top flat portion. our normal gable with the exception of the small face. Apply small gable trim to both ends of the roof. Screw small gable trim to panel at 24” intervals. If the rib of the last panel does not match up with roof end, trim panel ¾” past roof end and turn up using crimping tool. Fasten as before.

MINI GABLE

A gable with an even smaller face than the small gable. Apply mini gable trim to both ends of the roof. Screw mini gable trim to panel at 24” intervals. If the rib of the last panel does not match up with roof end, trim panel ¾” past roof end and turn up using crimping tool. Fasten as before.

EAVE

Install trim along eave edge of roof, fastening every 24” with roofing nails.

Then secure the panel by fastening on each side of every rib with-in two inches of the end of each roof panel.

ENDWALL

Secure top leg to wall or top slope of roof at 24” intervals. Then use a foam closure strip to prevent moisture or debris from entering under the Endwall. Finally, fasten the lower leg to the panel by placing a screw near the edge of the flashing on every rib.

TOP SHED

Install Top Shed trim to the upper side of a one sided roof. Fasten as you would a Gable trim piece.

SMALL FACE TOP SHED

Install Small Face Top Shed trim to the upper side of a one sided roof. Fasten as you would a Small Face Gable trim piece.

MINI TOP SHED

Install Mini Top Shed trim to the upper side of a one sided roof. Fasten as you would a Mini Gable trim piece.

VALLEY

Prior to installing roof panels, install W-Valley. Next apply 2 rows of sealant parallel to the valley, approximately 6 and 8 inches up from center of the Valley. Metal roofing should be installed a minimum of 4 inches from the center of the valley. Install fasteners through the furthest row of sealant in the flat part of the valley on each side of the major rib.

SIDE WALL

After applying roof panels, secure the lower leg of the panel by fastening at 24” intervals. For additional weather proofing, use a bead of caulking between trim and panel. Then fasten upper leg to the wall at 24” intervals.

PITCH BREAK

Apply Pitch Break where a roof of one pitch angles into a roof of a lesser pitch. Tuck the upper leg of the Pitch Break under the panel on the upper steeper roof and place the lower 5" leg over the bottom panel of the flatter pitched roof. Put closure foam between the 5" leg and the lower panel and screw every other rib using acceptable length fasteners.

J-CHANNEL

Apply C-Casing around door, window, or any other opening. Then install the panel with a screw fastened every 24” through the panel and the long leg of the trim.

OUTSIDE CORNER

Apply corner trim to the outside corner of the structure. Screw corner trim to the panel at 24” intervals on both sides. Fasten through the ¾” flange.

INSIDE CORNER

Apply inside corner trim to the inside corners of the structure. Screw inside corner trim to the panel at 24” intervals on both sides. Fasten through the ¾” flange.

BASE

Install base trim at the desired height at the bottom of the wall you are siding. Then install the panel and secure the base trim by fastening the panel to the wall with a row of screws within 1” of the end of the panel.

RODENT GUARD

Apply rodent guard around the base of the siding metal to keep rodents out. Install rodent guard trim at the desired height at the bottom of the wall you are siding. Then install the panel and secure the rodent guard trim by fastening the panel to the wall with a row of screws within 1” of the end of the panel.

F-J CHANNEL

A double J-channel with two grooves for the panels. Can be used where the ceiling meets the wall. Fasten through the lower flange at 24″ intervals and/or through the back of the top groove.

WALL TO LIGHT

Install this piece in the transition between two colors of metal as in the case of a wains coating. Fasten in the top flat portion of the piece at 24″ intervals.

SNAP-LOCK GABLE

This gable is specially designed for our standing seam product. Apply standing seam gable trim to both ends of roof. Screw standing seam gable trim to rafter at 24” intervals.

SMALL SNAP-LOCK GABLE

This snap-lock gable is ideally suited for 2×4 rafters or in case you want more showing under the end of the gable. Fasten small snap-lock gable to the rafter at 24″ intervals.

MINI SNAP-LOCK GABLE

A mini snap-lock gable with an even smaller face than the small snap-lock gable. Apply mini snap-lock gable trim to both ends of the roof. Screw mini gable trim to rafter at 24” intervals.

SNAP-LOCK TOP SHED

Snap-lock top shed trim hooks over the peak of a one-slope roof. notch out the holes over the ribs. Fasten snap lock top shed to the rafters at 24″ intervals.

SMALL SNAP-LOCK TOP SHED

Small Snap-lock top shed trim hooks over the peak of a one-slope roof. It has a smaller face than regular snap-lock top shed. notch out the holes over the ribs. Fasten snap lock top shed to the rafters at 24″ intervals.

MINI SNAP-LOCK TOP SHED

Mini Snap-lock top shed trim hooks over the peak of a one-slope roof. It has a smaller face than small snap-lock top shed. notch out the holes over the ribs. Fasten snap lock top shed to the rafters at 24″ intervals.

RIDGE CAP NOTCHED

Ridge for snap-lock that doesn’t need vented closure foam. To install it, notch the bottom flanges around the snap-lock ribs. Then fasten it to the panel at 24″ intervals

d-style eave

Install D-stlye eave trim along eave edge of roof, fastening every 24" with roofing nails. Then secure the panel to the eave trim by bending about 1" of the end of the panel around the 1.25" lip of the trim.

PBR TRIM PROFILES

PBR RIDGE

This is a large ridge specially designed for PBR panels. Fasten it through the 1-1/4″ flanges into the top of ribs.

PBR GABLE

A large gable. Fasten through the 5/8″ flange on the top and if necessary fasten on the flat side into the fascia.

PBR J-CHANNEL

Large j-channel that fits the PBR profile. Fasten through the long flat side or through the bottom with flat head screws or nails.

PBR OUTSIDE CORNER

Slightly larger outside corner used on the corners of buildings. Fasten through the 3/4″ flanges at 2′ intervals.

PBR INSIDE CORNER

Slightly larger inside corner for PBR. Fasten through the 3/4″ flanges at 2′ intervals

PBR RODENT GUARD

Rodent guard for PBR walls. Fasten through the flat tail with flat head screws or nails. Fasten at 2′ intervals.

PBR BASE

Slightly larger than our standard base. designed for PBR. Fasten through the flat back tail at 2′ intervals.

PBR SIDEWALL

Slightly larger sidewall used for wall to panel transitions on the slope side. Fasten through the 3/4″ flange with screws. Also fasten through the back tail into the wall with flat head screws or nails.

PBR WALL TO LIGHT

Slightly larger wall to light designed for PBR panels. Fasten through the top flat tail with flat head screws or nails.
